In the summer of 2025, a friend of mine who runs a design studio in Canada asked me, “We are making a book with a Japanese client, and I’d love you to handle the print coordination.”
Over the following three months, I poured everything I had into the project—my accumulated knowledge of paper and printing, as well as my network—and together we created a truly wonderful book.
It is a product catalog, an essay by the makers, and a photo book all in one.
I hope not only furniture lovers, but also anyone interested in craftsmanship and everyday living, will pick it up and enjoy it.
My heartfelt thanks to Alvin, Vince, and Aily from Studio Faculty for inviting me to be part of this project; to Kise-san and Inoue-san, our clients, for believing in me; and to the bookbinding and printing teams who put so much care and effort into creating a great book. My deepest gratitude to everyone who was involved in bringing this book to life.
